Yangon
Export-Import Bank of Thailand (EXIM Bank), Yangon, a financial service agency for Thai businesses operating overseas. Currently, Myanmar has allowed the use baht-kyat currency transactions for import and export since the beginning of 2022. As kyat currency has been depreciated, people and traders preferred to collect cash, resulting in a shortage of kyat cash flow. The recommendation is that Thailand can elevate Myanmar’s industrial development by focusing on skill development and knowledge transfer, particularly in the manufacturing process. This may result in the form of relocation of Thailand's secondhand machinery to Myanmar, as well as to deliver installation and maintenance services for SMEs in Myanmar.
